Apple powdery mildew index is based on OiDiag-system (Kast), is not validated for the area.

The cherry powdery mildew model runs through three stages.  First, growing degree days are calculated from bud break.  If the second stage does not occur before a key degree day threshold is reached, the model shuts down for the year.  Secondly, a specific amount of rainfall is needed during a period of 50F or above to trigger the third stage.  If the rainfall event does occur, the third stage begins.  At this point we use the Gubler-Thomas Powdery mildew model that is described in the table below for powdery mildew.  To keep things simple, the Gubler-Thomas model is what is displayed once the specific rainfall event has occurred.
